So pleased to have found Paul and have this installed before Summer really kicks in. Cannot recommend highly enough.

22nd May 2020Friendly reliable staff, fitted the film with efficiency, professionalism, and quality is outstanding. You can really notice a difference to the heat in the conservatory. Whilst light still comes in, the heat has been reduced dramatically so no longer feels like a sauna. We are west open facing meaning sun moves around the side of the windows then above normally trapping so much heat. In 24hrs the difference is amazing! Thanks Paul!

We are on street level so everyone can look in when they walk past, the net curtains hid the view and light and harboured dust, it has completely changed our living room and kitchen, to be able to look out and have the light in, from the outside it looks totally natural and people cannot see inside. Would highly recommend, clean fast, superb service.

Paul installed window film on our bi-fold doors in our garden room, and kitchen and lounge windows. Having had skin cancer recently, I was concerned about UV and wanted to continue to enjoy our garden room without having anxiety. Skin cancers are becoming increasingly common and PR Solar Window Film is the ideal solution. It also prevents our furnishings fading! I was impressed by the installation - efficient, professional and a fantastic result! Highly recommend this service to all and everyone.

29th February 2020Nice quality finish, from the outside it gives the windows a bit of shine but doesn't look over the top, it gives the appearance of looking at an empty dark room. From the inside - you can't see it! Quick service and no mess. Great, I would recommend PR Solar to anyone wanting privacy film, our new windows now look very stylish.

Blackout Window Film FAQs
Blackout window film is made up of multiple layers and once it has been installed on a window, the window will be almost completely opaque. This blocks over 99% of light from passing through the window, making it an ideal choice if you need to strictly control the lighting conditions within a building.
Professional installation is recommended to ensure the best possible fit to your windows. Blackout window films are always installed on the interior side of the window to protect them from weather damage. Our team will prep the area, thoroughly cleaning all of the windows, before carefully applying each of the films. Typically a solution consisting of baby shampoo and water is used in this process.
The process of installing blackout window film can be done relatively quickly – usually in a day or less, depending on the size of the job. This ensures that the impact upon your business operations or home life is minimal.
Yes, but not during the first two months. This initial period allows the film to “settle” and bind fully to the window surface to ensure the best possible performance. Once this period has passed, any standard window cleaning spray or a soap/water solution can be used. Always make sure you use soft cloths or sponges on the film though, as abrasive cleaning brushes may scratch the surface of the film and damage it.
There are many factors that can influence exactly how long any given window film will last. Where the film is installed, the type of glass they’re applied to and the conditions inside the property all affect how well the film holds up to wear and tear.
